Financial Aid

Financial aid consists of both grants and loans.Students applying for financial aid will need to complete the FAFSA:Free Application for Federal Students Aid.Dependent Students will require parental information to complete their applications. Students may complete the FAFSA on their own or contact a TONSORIAL ARTS BARBER COLLEGE Financial Aid Specialist to schedule an appointment.

Entrance Counseling

What is Entrance Counseling ?

If you have not previously received a Direct Loan or Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL), the Federal Government requires you to complete entrance counseling to ensure that you understand the responsibilities and obligations you are assuming.

If you are completing entrance counseling to borrow a loan as an undergraduate student, then the entrance counseling will fulfill counseling requirements for Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans.

What is Exit Counseling?

Exit counseling provides important information to prepare you to repay your federal student loan(s).

If you have received a subsidized, unsubsidized or PLUS loan under the Direct Loan Program or the FFEL Program, you must complete exit counseling each time you:

 

  • Drop below half-time enrollment
  • Graduate
  • Leave school

Who should complete this?

  • Students who have not previously received a subsidized/unsubsidized loan or PLUS loan (graduate/professional students only) under the Direct Loan Program or Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program.

Financial Aid FAQ’s
Does TABC offer payment plans?
Yes, payment plans are available for students with in-school balances and for students not applying for financial aid.
What other types of financial aid are available?
Every student is eligible to apply for what is called Title IV Funding,
but it is only for those that qualify. If you qualify, you could be eligible
for loans and/or grants.
Am I required to take out financial aid?
No, payment plans are available for students with in-school balances and for students not applying for financial aid.
Can my wife or kids attend TABC?
Yes. Anyone over the age of 17 can enroll at TABC.
